I was recently inspired, as I often am, by a post on David Hobby’s blog, Strobist. David recently featured an article about food photography called, Food Photography Made Easy: The Lunch box. It demonstrates some simple techniques and DYIs for photographing food. While I didn’t build myself a “lunch box” the article was enough to get me shooting. I do plan on building one and trying it our for myself, but for now I have a setup that works pretty well. So much of my fashion/portrait work is mid or low key that I really needed some high key stuff to balance out my portfolio. Here are a couple of shots from the shoot.
