One of the new resources I am most excited to add to my blog are equipment reviews. I get asked about my tools often and I think these reviews will be helpful to a lot of folks.
For the most part, I will be reviewing my personal gear. The equipment I use day in and day out to make the images you see on my sites. You won’t see a lot of technical analysis and images I have shot of brick walls to evaluate sharpness. I won’t be testing autofocus on my dog in the yard or demonstrate lighting techniques on a teddy bear. These reviews will talk about how and why I use a particular piece of kit and my overall impression of it. It will be honest feedback and will also include a few tips along the way. When I first started out, I combed the web looking for guidance and answers and often was left with more questions than my search began with. Down the road, I hope to add some guest writers and to review equipment beyond my personal collection.
I am doing this to share whatever knowledge and experience I have in the hopes of helping others. I appreciate any and all feedback and would like these reviews to be as interactive as possible through your questions and comments.
I have got the ball rolling with a review in each of the categories I will be using; camera, lens, lighting, gear and accessories. The reviews can be accessed from the top menu. These main categories are just the tip of the iceberg and reviews will expand into software and all kinds off goodies.
If you would like to see something reviewed or explained further, please ask. If you are interested in having me test and review one of your products, I am more than happy to do so. Please feel free to contact me anytime.
