Over the course of the summer I made a concerted effort to shoot with Ontario’s finest riders. Finest for me doesn’t only mean fastest or always on the podium. It means motivated, determined and professional. This is what I looked for when I ran race teams and this is what I look for in front of my lens.
Brian was amazing to work with on every level. He had amazing energy and a can-do attitude. Brian hiked his bike back up the trail until I was happy with the shot. I loved his initiative. He had build these great trails near his house. They were super simple, but well thought out. He had a few perfect berms, a step down and a hip. I liked the location he chose and thought the dark earth trails among the luscious green ferns looked amazing.
Brian is a strong rider and he absolutely buried his bike in the berms. He pushed himself until he stuffed his bar in the dirt and went down. He them pushed on and backed it off just a hair. Totally committed! Here are a few shots from my shoot with Brian Serneels.
